Lempesti

Does your apartment need a little remodelling or do you need help in cleaning?

Don’t worry; the help is just around the corner!

Cooperative society “Lempesti” offers quality services and help for every day tasks:

Cleaning help, health care, and janitor services. Cooperative society Lempesti was founded in 1997 and it is owned by its members. The idea of Lempesti is to offer diverse services with confidence and competitiveness.

The Managing Director Mrs. Maiju Sillanpää, the Service Instructor Mrs. Sirpa Vuori and the Service Director Mrs. Minna Järvinen convince that the general ambient in Lempesti is, more than anything, humanitarian: They care deeply for the co-workers as well as the clients.

The sales consist of cleaning services (65%), building and janitor services (30%) and health care services (5%).

Lempäälä municipality is a big client for Lempesti. About 40 % of the turnover comes directly from the services bought by the municipality of Lempäälä. Other clientele consists of families with children, who need help with house tasks. Also housing cooperatives and companies engage the Lempesti personnel.

Good staff guarantees good services

Not anyone can be a cleaner nowadays: Today the cleaning business is all about new technical equipment and good cleansing products, comments Mrs. Vuori. Good, professional personnel was not always available when the company needed it. So Lempesti decided to start a project in order to educate new people to achieve the cleaner’s vocational qualification together with Ahlman institute in Tampere. This how the company got good, job-committed personnel and the industry received a little more respect amongst the workers as well as the clients.

Lempäälä is a good environment to work in

Lempesti functions mainly in Lempäälä, Vesilahti and Viiala areas.
There is cleaning work also in the municipality of Kangasala, because one of the employees lives and takes care of the clients in his home area. Mrs. Sillanpää thinks that there is more demand in Tampere area, but so far the company hasn’t decided to spread out to the rest of the region. They have, however, gained a good, growing turnover and the focus on certain areas brings more effectiveness to their work.

Bright future ahead

Despite of the difficult times, Lempesti workers see a bright future ahead. The dust keeps accumulating also in the times of the financial crisis and it needs to be cleaned. The crisis brings new possibilities to constructions as many people decide to prepare their old houses instead of buying new ones.
In this area they expect reasonable growth.

The growth of home economics cut-back is expected to bring new clients and to grow the amount of the visits amongst the old clientele.

In cleaning and nursery there is a tight competition in action, but the competitors are mainly

”one-man-companies”. Lempesti´s strength is the size of the company that guarantees the client seamless services even though a part of the workers are on a sick-leave. One man companies this is harder to arrange. Lempesti is also more flexible than many bigger companies.

On construction and janitor side there is hardly competition. Lempesti has its focus on remodelling houses and small re-constructions, such as garages. Big building companies are not necessarily that excited to remodel houses and therefore there is a lack of professional handymen.

Well-rested workers – better results

How do the people of Lempesti relax? Mrs. Sirpa Vuori doesn’t know the phrase free time problems. Urmas has the free time solved: get the leash on and let’s go! The golden retriever Urmas is the best pal for outing and while doing that, the work issues amazingly disappear from the thoughts. Mrs. Maiju Sillanpää loves swimming: over 30 years of active swimming has maintained her physics high and the mind clear. Her new hobby is the gym. With these good habits one goes far, and when the personnel is active and motivated it reflects directly to the clients.

I’d love to leave my apartment key for these ladies for a day, and come back from work to a well-cleaned home!
