Lovely aromas, atmosphere, pampering treatments, wellness and beauty - this is what Amazonia Day Spa offers. Behind their door there is a world where one forgets the stress and hastiness. Once entering the waiting room one can see that the slushy streets change to something much more intriguing. The personnel of Amazonia Day Spa, sisters Greivis Arratia de Ojanperä and Greissy Arratia Garmendia wish that the clients would arrive a couple of minutes before the treatment in order to be able to relax and repose before the actual treatment session. This way the clients get best results.
Amazonia Day Spa offers facials, massage, manicures and pedicures. They also do relaxing whole body treatments that last up to 3-4 hours. Their specialities, however, are the skin-therapeutical treatments. Greivis Arratia de Ojanperä got familiar with Dr. Howard Murad´s products while studying in Mexico City. This series offers help also for the typical Scandinavian skin problems. Many of us suffer from skin with greasy nose and dry cheeks – also the Amazonia Day Spa’s ladies. This is why they always analyze the client’s skin before doing any treatment. Based on the analysis, they choose the right products for each skin type. Just for the face area there are dozens of products to choose from.

Flexibly listening the clients
Amazonia Day Spa serves the clients flexibly and they always listen to their clients’ needs.
The treatments can be done also in the evenings and the weekends. The clients can also choose a treatment package that suite them best: there are more than 70 different kinds of treatments in Amazonia Day Spa! Services of a nail artist are also available.
The personnel of Amazonia Day Spa is happy to see that men have started to pamper themselves, too. Young men are already familiar with treatments but also the middle-aged men have started to realize the effect of relaxing treatments, too.
Even though Amazonia Day Spa has been functioning only a year, the clientele is already good. In addition to the locals, there are clients from Tampere, Kangasala and Nokia. The good location of their business is an advantage. The family hasn’t regret that they moved to Lempäälä, as it is a nice growing municipality near good services.
Keeping up in the business
One of the future plans of the company is to enlarge the business. They would like to do e.g. turf treatments. If the facilities were bigger they could treat more clients at the same time.
Sisters Greivis Arratia de Ojanperä and Greissy Arratia Garmendia tell that it’s really important to keep up with the latest trends in the branch. New treatments come often and they also pick new things to Amazonia’s variety. Their newest treatment is Thai Sabai Spa herbal massage.
Long days and constant education require a total relax: Greivis tells that the work issues are soon forgotten with her two children and the dog, Matias.
As I leave Amazonia Day Spa the idea of beautiful new nails got me thinking: Especially when I see my own, dish washer hands that are shortened by biting. My skin also looks extremely dry after the winter…and the wrinkles! I guess they just got a new regular client.
